This blighted street in an up and coming neighborhood in Tuxtla Guttierez needed something to give the neighborhood some visual relief while it was undergoing a renewal. The interior of the barrio was filled with historic Mexican bungalows, but the periphery was bad, with abandoned homes and businesses. This mural was the first of many to transform the neighborhood into a vibrant colony of color, welcoming residents and investors with a beautiful entry.
